What is the FTT?
The Final Theory Test (FTT) is taken after you have completed at least five practical driving lessons. It focuses on hazard perception, expressway driving, night driving and more advanced scenarios than the BTT.
Like the BTT, the FTT has 50 questions, a 50-minute time limit and a 90% pass mark. Passing the FTT is required before you can book your Traffic Police practical driving test.
FTT is not a harder BTT. It assumes you have already been on the road in lessons. Questions lean into hazards, expressways, night driving and what a competent driver should notice before a situation becomes a crash.
If you passed BTT months ago and then paused lessons, revise BTT signs for two sessions before FTT mocks. Centres still expect the 90% pass mark. Five practical lessons is the usual booking gate — confirm with your centre.
